Matt has been in Colorado since 2006. He was born in Oregon (and a piece of his heart will always by near the ocean and in the forests), but Colorado is home and the mountains will always be a sanctuary to him.
For 15 years he worked as an air traffic controller; keeping travelers safe, working with highly intelligent and talented people, and participating in one of the most important aspects of our country's infrastructure. He negotiated and collaborated with the FAA on behalf of the National Air Traffic Controllers Associate, one of the strongest unions in the US.
He moved into real estate because he wanted to be closer to people and participate in a more personal and intimate aspect of their lives: The Journey of Home Ownership.
He has been serving his communities for many years:
-High Plains Library District Foundation (2021-present): Board Member and Chairman on the Strategic Planning Committee and Financial Planning committee.
-Vice President, HOA (2024-present): Saved community $12,000+.
-Elementary Accountability Committee (2024)
-Sports Coach (2015-2019)
-Camp and Festival Volunteer (2005-present)
The list goes on, but simply put, he cares deeply for the people around him and he acts on that fact.
He believes in sharing the abundance of good fortune, which is what led him to start New Horizons and make it our mission to give back to clients during their real estate journeys.
